How FreezeFold uses Acca Freeze

Sky Bet Acca Freeze lets you lock one winning football leg on a five-fold (or bigger) if that side takes the lead. FreezeFold splits the acca into a high-odds freeze and four short-priced fillers so the risky leg is the one you can protect.

Build a 5-fold

Full-time result, pre-match only, stake of £20 or less. Draws cannot be frozen.

Name the freeze

Back an underdog at 5.50 or bigger. If they go a goal up, freeze that leg in My Bets.

Let the fillers win

The other four are favourites that still have to win at full time. One freeze per acca.

Freeze leg

Needs to take the lead — not necessarily win. Ranked by EV: live win odds divided by the modelled take-the-lead price. Form and table stay on the card for context; they don’t decide the order.

EV = win price ÷ lead price. 100% means those prices match. 200% means Sky would pay twice the lead price if the freeze triggers.

Filler legs

Odds 1.20–2.50. Scored out of 10 from last-five form, form gap versus the opponent, home/away record, and league position. Home sides need 7.0+; away sides 8.5+. Cups sit on a higher bar.

Auto-match prefers fillers kicking off on the same day as your freeze, and never two teams from the same match.

FAQ

Does the freeze team have to win the match?: No. If they take the lead and you freeze, that leg is settled as a winner even if they later draw or lose. The other four legs still have to win.
Why 5.50+ for the freeze?: A longer-priced side is the one you most want to protect. If a 9.00 underdog leads for ten minutes, Acca Freeze can still pay the 9.00. Short favourites already win most of the time — they make better fillers.
How is freeze EV calculated?: Win odds divided by take-the-lead odds, as a percentage. If a side is 9.00 to win and 4.50 to take the lead, EV is 200% — Acca Freeze pays the 9.00 if they merely go ahead.
Where do the home-page land rates come from?: Finished matches. FreezeFold logs every freeze-priced side (5.50+) and whether they took the lead at any point, plus filler-priced sides (1.20–2.50) and whether they won. That spreadsheet drives the home-page rates — nothing is modelled there. Download it from Picks or Results.
Are these live Sky Bet odds?: Sky Bet, Paddy Power and Betfair block live price pulls, so FreezeFold uses live DraftKings 1X2 for the same matches — typically within a tick of UK high-street books. Take-the-lead prices are modelled from that 1X2 and the match total (probability they ever go ahead). Always check the price on Sky Bet before you place.
Can I send the acca straight to Sky Bet?: Sky Bet does not let other sites dump a finished slip into their betslip. Place on Sky Bet copies the five selections and opens each league’s Full Time Result coupon so you can tap the named sides — the betslip stays as you switch. Always check the price on Sky Bet before you stake.
Is this matched betting?: You can use the same freeze/filler shape for matched betting, but this app is built for constructing the 5-fold itself. We don’t calculate exchange lays.
